Ledgora is designed around a simple principle: your financial information should stay under your control.

Effective date: July 1, 2026. This policy describes the privacy practices for the Ledgora desktop application and the Ledgora website.

Overview

Ledgora is a local-first financial forecasting application. The desktop application stores profiles, accounts, transactions, receipts, goals, forecasts, settings, and local AI conversations on your computer unless you explicitly choose to export, back up, or share that information.

Plain English: Ledgora does not require a bank login, does not require a cloud account, and is not designed to collect or sell your financial data.

Information stored locally by the app

Depending on how you use Ledgora, the app may store the following on your device: profile names, account nicknames, account balances, transactions, recurring bills and income, goals, receipts, invoices, imported statement data, local assistant conversations, preferences, backups, and license status.

Information we do not collect from the desktop app

Bank account numbers or credentials
Transaction history, balances, forecasts, goals, receipts, or invoices
Local AI prompts or responses
Advertising identifiers
Analytics about how you use the desktop app, unless you explicitly choose to send diagnostics in the future

Website information

The Ledgora website may be hosted using Cloudflare or similar infrastructure providers. These providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, security events, and approximate region for hosting, security, performance, and abuse prevention.

Purchases and licensing

When Ledgora Professional becomes available for purchase, payment processing may be handled by a third-party payment processor such as Stripe, Lemon Squeezy, Paddle, or a similar provider. We do not store full payment card details. We may store purchase records such as name, email address, license key, license status, activation count, and support history to provide licensing and customer support.

Update checks

Ledgora may include an optional update checker. An update check may request a public update file from ledgora.app or another Ledgora-controlled endpoint. This request may reveal basic technical information to the hosting provider, such as IP address and user agent. The update checker does not need to send your transactions, balances, receipts, goals, or forecasts.

Local AI

Ledgora Intelligence is designed to work with local profile data. When configured for local AI through tools such as Ollama, prompts are processed on your computer. Ledgora does not send local AI conversations to us. If a future version offers optional cloud AI integrations, those integrations will be clearly labeled and opt-in.

Backups and exports

If you export data or create backups, those files are controlled by you. If you store backups in OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, a USB drive, email, or another service, that service's terms and privacy practices apply.

Support requests

If you contact support, we may collect your name, email address, message content, attachments you choose to provide, version number, and diagnostic information you voluntarily send. Please do not send financial information unless it is necessary for support and you are comfortable sharing it.

Cookies

The Ledgora website may use only essential cookies or hosting-provider security features. If analytics, marketing cookies, or customer login features are added later, this policy will be updated.

Data retention

Data stored by the Ledgora desktop app remains on your device until you delete it. Support messages, license records, and purchase records may be retained as needed for legal, accounting, licensing, fraud prevention, and customer support purposes.

Security

Ledgora is designed to reduce privacy risk by keeping sensitive financial data local. No software can guarantee perfect security. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, operating system account, backups, and exported files.

Children's privacy

Ledgora is not intended for children under 13 and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Ledgora evolves. The latest version will be posted on ledgora.app with an updated effective date.
